The Phoenix Center at Auraria (PCA) serves the campus communities at University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver and Community College of Denver who have been impacted by IPV which includes relationship violence, sexual violence and/or stalking either directly or as a concerned other. • The Violence Prevention Education (VPE) program is a peer education program providing workshops related to a variety of topics connected to IPV. Workshops can be customized to run 60-90 minutes long and can be easily implemented during a class period, staff meeting or conference. To learn more about specific workshop topics and how to book a presentation, visit our website or email us.

    • Along with our campus partners, we plan a variety of both passive and active awareness-raising programs over the course of the academic year. In particular, we host programs and awareness campaigns during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (Oct.), Stalking Awareness Month (Jan.) and Sexual Assault Awareness/Activism Month (April). These campaigns help to raise awareness of these issues, engage our campus community in creating an environment which is inhospitable to violence and let survivors know that there is support available to them on campus.
