The Career Center hosted our first Employer & Faculty breakfast on August 16th from 8:30am-10:30am to inform and educate both faculty and employers about the Career Center’s services and to showcase our new signatures programs. Networking opportunities were provided over breakfast to connect with one another for the employment benefits of the CU Denver students.
The new Career Center Initiatives include:
Employers in The Classroom
Employers in the Classroom is designed to match interested employers and faculty together to improve student’s awareness of the job market and enhance employability skill development. Employers from all fields are invited to fill out an information form to be matched with faculty members that are looking to enhance their class syllabus with experts in industry.
Certificate of Employability
The Certificate of Employability is an innovative new program that is intended as a functional resource to supplement the information available from the Career Center staff. The program may be utilized by any CU Denver faculty member, student clubs, and any additional UCD resource office. This program, built for all eligible CU Denver students, can be utilized as either a self-paced informational course, or as a primer for students entering the professional work environment—both during and upon exiting their educational careers.
