If You Are Done Reviewing The HR Questions Click Here
Why do you want to leave your present position?
For most students graduating from college this is an easy question to answer. You are completing your degree and now it is time to launch your career! You didn’t persevere through your studies and get a degree so you could continue to wait tables or flip burgers or whatever you have been doing to pay your bills.
If you are one of those individuals who has been working in a “real” job while attending school, this may take a little more thought, but not much. The reality is that your present employer probably doesn’t have an opportunity for you to move into a role appropriate for someone with your new academic credentials, so it is time to find an opportunity where you can adequately leverage your new degree and your previous work experience.
The key in responding to this question is to NEVER say anything bad about your current employer or supervisor. Your response must indicate that the experience has been an excellent opportunity while going to school but now it is time to move on.
