CAREER PLANNING SERVICES:

*One-on-One Quick Tip Assistance: Come to the UCD Career Center in Tivoli 267 with a hardcopy of your resume and/or cover letter to be reviewed by a career coach or career counselor. Entitled to two FREE 15 minute drop-in reviews, no appointment necessary. For times call front desk 303-556-2250. 

One Hour Career Counseling: Individual one hour sessions assisting in personal self exploration, direction in re-careering, assistance in graduate school decisions, skill identification, and more.

One Hour Job Search Appointment: Develop and strengthen your job search skills.& Career Center advisors/coaches can assist you with job search strategies, resume and cover letters, interviewing skills, negotiating offers, and researching employers and careers.

Maximize your career potential through self-assessment programs designed to help individuals make satisfying career decisions.

CareerLeader: Assesses interests, values, skills, and how they match with 27 business career paths.

eDiscover: Web-based career and research assessment tool.

CareerSearch: Search for information on a particular company, person, industry, or location using a variety of search options. The following ten states are included in this database: Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Texas, and Washington, DC.

Wetfeet: The WetFeet Network provides information on companies, careers, and industries that job seekers use throughout their careers to make smarter career decisions. WetFeet also offers job seekers expert advice, newsletters, salary benchmarking tools, and discussion boards on everything from negotiating a raise to writing better cover letters.

Vault: Need help choosing and managing your career? Vault is an online database that offers free downloads of popular career/industry guides, job alerts/industry newsletters, occupation surveys for hundreds of positions, industry overviews, advanced message board tools, and much more.

Career Discovery Program (CDP): Comprehensive 4-hour career assessment program, includes assessments such as the MBTI, SII, SkillScan Card Sort and Values Assessment.

Personalized CDP: A three hour personalized, one-on-one interpretation of MBTI, SII, SkillScan, and Values assessments.

Individual Assessment MBTI or SII: After completing the MBTI or SII, a career counselor provides an interpretation of your personalized assessment in an individualized one hour appointment.

Reciprocity Services: Seeking employment in a different city or state? Need assistance finding resources near your new location? The Career Center will be happy to write to a university of your choice requesting reciprocity for you. Limited to three letters. Please provide the email and physical address of the university you are requesting reciprocal services from in an email to careercenter@ucdenver.edu. Within this email indicate your name, student ID, and date you graduated. A reciprocity letter will be sent to the university you requested within 72 hours and you will be copied in the email.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:

JustASK! Access: On JustASK! Job Link you can post your resume for review by employers, apply for jobs, and find out about important career events.

Library Computer Use: Come into the Career Center to utilize one of the Career Center’s computers to research industries, apply for jobs, or search the web for employment opportunities, open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Limited to two hours/week free, charged $10.00/hr after.
