Employers in the Classroom is a new signature program which the CU Denver Career Center recently launched to improve student’s employability and enhance faculty-employer relations. This program is designed to connect faculty and employers within the classroom setting to help students develop professional skills and/or learn more about industry specific career options. Faculty are invited to fill out an information form to be matched with employers to enhance their class syllabus with a visit from industry experts.
Suggested presentation topics from employers may include:
- Careers in XYZ Industry
- How to be Successful in XYZ Industry
- Industry specific soft skills such as, résumé writing, interviewing, or networking
To participate, please
click here to submit your contact and presentation requests. You will then be provided with suitable University of Colorado Denver employer partners whom you will contact to set up your presentation. The Career Center will serve as the conduit to facilitate the connection. We will not however make the detailed classroom presentation arrangements, and it is up to the faculty member to actually set up the details of their presentation.
The purpose of this program is to educate students in industry specific topics; therefore, this is not an opportunity for employers to sell products or use this opportunity for an information session about their company or services. We request that you report any abuse of this to the Career Center.
*Notice: filling out the form is not a guarantee that we will have a suitable employer to present on your topic.
