Sarah Trzeciak, M.S.
Sarah Trzeciak brings more than six
years’ experience providing client-focused counseling to a diverse group of
clientele. She is certified on Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest
Inventory, and Strength Quest. She believes in helping clients find the
language to communicate their strengths to an employer, colleagues, families
and anyone who may also be assisting in their job search. She has her Masters`
degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.
She is also a seasoned presenter,
having presented to groups as small as three to as large as two hundred. She
believes that a successful presentation or workshop includes audience
participation, and tailors her presentations to each group in order to more
fully connect with the audience. She also cares deeply about current economic
trends and in particular, how they are changing the field or Career Centers
across the nation.
Jessie Czerwonka, M.A., LPC, NCC
Jessie Czerwonka has served both undergraduate and graduate students at the CU Denver Career Center since June of 2007. She has her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education with a focus in Career Counseling from CU Denver, is a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certified Practitioner, a National Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Jessie has been recognized nationally and was selected to participate in the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Leadership Academy. Additionally, she has served in multiple board member positions locally in the Colorado Career Development Association (CCDA).
As Assistant Director, Jessie provides assistance in major and career planning; résumé, CV, and cover letter development; interviewing skills; networking tactics; and the basics of the job search process. She has assisted in career fairs and attended CCDA, NCDA, Collegiate Career Services Association of Colorado & Wyoming (CCSA), and Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges & Employers (MPACE) functions. Her passion and expertise are in guiding students as well as alumni in exploration and discovery of an ideal career path.
Kaitlin Luna, M.Ed.

Kaitlin Luna comes to us with six years of experience in higher education where she helped meet students’ academic and career needs. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling Student Affairs at Northern Arizona University in Fall 2010. Since then she has been trained in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and StrengthsQuest, which are assessments that help students learn about who they are and how that relates to career. As a career counselor, Kaitlin assists students as they explore majors and career paths, develop job search strategies including résumé and cover letter writing, and building an online presence. Kaitlin also works with students to help them develop a networking plan and prepare for interviews.She is particularly skilled at teaching job search strategies using social media. Kaitlin also coordinates the Career Center’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Wordpress posts. She is involved with the Colorado Career Development Association (CCDA) and holds a position on the board as Treasurer. She is expert in social media, job search, personal branding, and interview preparation.

Nick Shaklee, M.A.
Nick recently completed his Masters` degree in Community Couseling from Regis University and focused his education and intership experience within career counseling. Nick approaches career counseling from a holistic stance that focuses on developing a professinal identity through experience, education and understanding of self. Nick believes it is with this understanding that a person can know what they can contribute and be successful. Nick sees education and careers as a way to give purpose and meaning to a person`s life. Graduate Peer Advisor
Stephanie has been with the Career Center since February of 2011. She will graduate in December 2013 with her Master’s degree in Counseling at CU Denver. Stephanie has extensive professional experience critiquing 1000’s of résumés and cover letters. She enjoys teaching students and alumni how to showcase their skills to employers.
Rebecca Martinez, M.A.

Martinez is a Colorado native who graduated with her degree in English from
Metropolitan State University of Denver. She also recently completed her MA in
Nonprofit Management. Rebecca has spent the last 10 years supporting young
people in their education endeavors, through various AmeriCorps programs and
youth development agencies.
Darpan has been with the Career Center since April of 2013. He will graduate in
December 2014 with his Master’s degree in Computer & Information Science in
CU Denver. Darpan has extensive professional experience developing websites,
software solutions, cover photos. He enjoys photography, playing cricket and
Front Desk Assistant
Wendy Vue has been with the Career Center for three years as a Front Desk Assistant. She also helps with event planning a the Career Center and is currently an undergraduate student studying Business. In her free time she plays volleyball, knits, and scrapbooks.
Front Desk Assistant
Valencia is a Front Desk Assistant and is the first point of contact with students and alumni and she also helps put together projects for the Career Center advisors. She is currently in her third year and is with the School of Public Affairs majoring in Criminal Justice. Valencia was born and raised in Denver and on her free time she likes to have fun with her family and friends and volunteer for Goodwill.
