Ty is a 2010 Health Scholars recipient and works full time as an RN at the Springfield Hospital where he is getting a wealth of experience in specialty clinics, emergency and surgery. He is relatively new to the health care field having received his RN from Lamar Community College in 2007. He is passionate about rural health care and wants to continue in Springfield or another rural area after graduation. “I want to go where people don’t generally have access to health care.” He is scheduled to graduate in May of 2013.
