Regina graduated in December of 2009 and is working full-time as a Family Nurse Practioner in Trinidad at the Family Medical Center, a private practice. She enjoys her work and says the satisfaction is worth the 120 mile daily round trip from Walsenburg. She plans to pursue her certification in July. Her overall career goal is to continue to provide quality rural care in the two counties who are among the state’s 10 least healthy and have few providers. She hopes to become a preceptor to other students in the future as she loves to teach.
