What is the Health Professions Scholarship Program?

A 2-year scholarship to assist enrolled graduate level Health Professions students by paying for a significant portion of their education.

Who is eligible to apply?

Target groups for this scholarship include enrolled graduate level nursing, graduate level allied health dental, pharmacy, public health and medical students who plan to practice in a rural community. Certificate programs do not qualify.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  1. Be enrolled either at least half-time or full-time in a graduate level health professional program (Master's or Doctorate degree)
  2. Agree to practice in a rural and/or under served community or faculty position upon completion of training for a minimum of 2-years.
  3. Be enrolled in an accredited Colorado institution of higher education. Online programs may be acceptable as long as the home institution is accredited in the State of Colorado

How much is the scholarship?

The scholarship is for up to $15,000 yearly for 2-years; $7,500 yearly for students enrolled half time. The total value of the scholarship is up to $30,000.
