University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Beth El
This is Connie’s final semester of the NFP program. With online courses and local clinical work, she has been able to complete her education without it being a significant burden upon her family. Connie’s biggest challenge has been time and money. The money issue has been dramatically reduced with this scholarship. Connie’s anticipated graduation remains May 2011. The only change to her academic plan would be her added desire to continue on for a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Her plans after graduation include her continued work in the public health arena and to provide healthcare to the local, rural population. Additionally, she hopes to continue her education and obtain a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice. Currently, Connie is employed as Director of the Conejos County Public Health Agency. She oversees and directs the Public Health Office in Conejos County in La Jara, Colorado.
