University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus
Catia is continuing her Public Health education concentrating on Community and Behavioral Health. Currently she is learning about Integrated Nutrition Education, and loves every minute of it. After two years of the program she is getting used to working full time and organizing her time for the classes and the practicum. She likes having the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and with different job experiences in public health. The Masters in Public Health program gave their students scholarship opportunities to attend the American Public Association conference that was held in Denver. She felt that APA conference and other networking events have enriched her professional life.
After graduation she would like to continue with the Integrated Nutrition Education Program at the University of Colorado Denver. The INEP focuses it’s work on low income schools around Colorado. Catia would like to work with the students’ parents to be advocates for nutrition. She has plans to use her public health career as building block for her future. She is excited to see what lies ahead in her future. Catia will graduate December 2011.
