CREATE Health is an imperative. As many Coloradans already understand, in twenty-first century America, create health! is the most critical imperative of all. If we are going to do anything—as individuals, as a community, as a State, or as a nation—we must all cooperate to create health as we are doing it, or else we are very likely involved in creating something that is not health.

CREATE Health Scholars is a year-long program with a one-month summer (with residential or distance options) intensive experience. Participating undergraduate students will strengthen their applications to professional schools and programs by receiving hands-on training and exposure to a variety of health careers, and by launching a student-driven community-based movement to address local health challenges. The CREATE Health Scholars program includes students from the following, and other related disciplines: Allied Health, Advocacy & Policy, Behavioral Health, Communications, Environmental Health, Health Business, Food & Nutrition, Medicine, Nursing, Oral Health, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Research.

In addition to the CREATE Health Scholars program, CREATE Health Faculty Advisors is currently seeking faculty and advisors from Colorado universities, colleges, post-secondary institutions and high schools to form a coordinated network to share consistent messaging about preparation for health professions and about the broad array of careers that are essential to the health of communities. CREATE Health Faculty Advisors participate in a yearly workshop and networking event, and offer guidance to students participating in CREATE Health community projects.
