The University of Colorado Denver offers students a myriad of support through the Aurora LIGHTS program including:
- Tutoring support for multiple advanced science courses
- Mentoring of freshmen and sophomores by upperclassmen
- Monthly workshops on various health careers and assistance with preparing applications to health professional schools
- An 18 week Kaplan MCAT preparatory course
- Job shadow opportunities through Health Careers Exploration at partnering clinics and hospitals
The Community College of Aurora offers its Aurora LIGHTS students:Tutoring support for key science courses, including anatomy and physiology and chemistry -- courses important for entry into four-year colleges or health professional programs
- Monthly workshops on a variety of health careers and preparation for applying to the next level
- Job shadow opportunities through Health Careers Exploration
