There are two main undergraduate programs affiliated with Aurora LIGHTS:

The University of Colorado Denver

The University of Colorado Denver offers students a myriad of support through the Aurora LIGHTS program including:

  • Tutoring support for multiple advanced science courses
  • Mentoring of freshmen and sophomores by upperclassmen
  • Monthly workshops on various health careers and assistance with preparing applications to health professional schools
  • An 18 week Kaplan MCAT preparatory course
  • Job shadow opportunities through Health Careers Exploration at partnering clinics and hospitals

The Community College of Aurora

The Community College of Aurora offers its Aurora LIGHTS students:Tutoring support for key science courses, including anatomy and physiology and chemistry  -- courses important for entry into four-year colleges or health professional programs

  • Monthly workshops on a variety of health careers and preparation for applying to the next level
  • Job shadow opportunities through Health Careers Exploration
