The University of Colorado system kicks off the New Year by rolling out the long-awaited brand work. A communicators’ summit will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, where a logo and style guide will be shared. The University of Colorado Denver’s Integrated University Communications Team has taken that work one step further and will be sharing messaging for the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus. Many individuals on both campuses have contributed to the messaging work and we appreciate the input that has been given to date.
If you have seen the messages about ordering new business cards, then you already know the logo is an updated interlocking CU. The goal of the entire brand effort is to better unify the campuses to take advantage of the collective strength of the University of Colorado system. Branding will lead CU to be consistent and coordinated in its messaging and visual images and allow us to be more efficient and effective in communicating to our key audiences, focusing our messages and images, and cutting through clutter. We will make better use of resources in these tight times.
By the time everyone returns to campus, the UC Denver website will have a brand home page where you can find electronic versions of the logos as well as information for letterhead and guidelines for materials including font, formatting and other brand essentials.
