The second annual observance of Earth Day April 21 on the Anschutz Medical Campus offered ‘earth-friendly’ opportunities and information to students, faculty and staff.
Vendors and exhibitors who set up in front of Building 500 for the event included:

• Chancellor’s Task Force on Sustainability

• Green Cleaning Products
• AMC Cancer Fund
• Regional Transportation District (RTD)
• Shred-It shredded up to 3 boxes of paper per person
The event offered $5 ‘grab & go’ lunches from Wok n’ Roll , while the Bookstore Brew crew sold discounted coffee mugs.
First-year School of Medicine student Matt Lebsack (pictured) was on hand to talk about Bridging Research and Aurora Neighborhoods for Community Health (BRANCH) group. They're hoping to start an on-campus farmer's market this summer and a community garden on campus. They will set up health screenings at the markets with help from AHEC and the School of Pharmacy student group, SNPhA.
