Laura D. Goodwin, PhD, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at CU Denver, manages the Division of Faculty Affairs and Undergraduate Enrichment. Previous administrative positions include Acting Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School (2001 – 02), Associate Dean in the School of Education (1992 – 97), and Coordinator of the Educational Psychology Division in the School of Education (1987 – 92).
Since 1983, Laura also has been a faculty member at CU Denver; until 2003, she taught courses in statistics, research methods, measurement and psychometrics, and dissertation planning and design. She is the recipient of several teaching awards, including the selection as a CU President’s Teaching Scholar in 1989. She is the author of many articles and books, on a wide variety of topics. Recent publications have focused on mentoring in higher education, standard-setting, and various statistical and methodological issues and techniques.
Laura’s Division manages faculty processes and procedures for CU Denver. It also includes the Center for Faculty Development, the Office of Outcomes Assessment, and the Office of Undergraduate Experiences. The Office of Undergraduate Experiences houses the Experiential Learning Center, the First-Year Seminar Program and the University Honors and Leadership Program.
