Faculty Development Grants
Faculty Development Grants are for part- and full-time faculty (part-time faculty must have at least a .51 appointment and a one-year contract). These grants are intended to enhance the quality of teaching, research, or creative work and funds can be used for:
- hiring student assistants
- obtaining special equipment or software
- converting existing courses to newer technologies
- attending workshops or conferences
- partially funding summer stipends
The Faculty Development Grant program is an annual competition. The call for proposals is released April 1; proposals are due April 30. Awards are announced as soon as is possible, typically by June 1. Funds are available July 1 and must be expended by June 15 of the following year.
