Congratulations to Ruby Nugent
Ruby is a Library Technician and has worked at the Health Sciences Library for just over two years. Ruby is starting library liaison work reaching out to various departments on AMC. She has collected and delivered donations of children’s books to The Children’s Hospital.
Ruby’s Supervisor, Helen J. White, Circulation Manager at the Health Sciences Library said, “Ruby is cheerful with an infectious laugh. She interacts favorably with staff, work-study students and customers. She is hardworking and eager to volunteer her time to work on committees and in any capacity the department needs her help.”
“Ruby takes extreme pride in the work she does. She is very supportive of her coworkers and takes an active role in making sure they are successful. She is extremely knowledgeable, organized, and patient. She excels in an autonomous work environment” remarked Dana Abbey, Consumer Health Liaison at the Health Sciences Library.
Orlando Archibeque, who is currently the National Co-Chair with Ruby on the REFORMA National Conference IV Committee spoke of her many contributions outside of the workplace. He said, “She is eager to accept new challenges; has an upbeat attitude that is infectious; she’s confident in her leadership ability, yet she is not afraid to ask for assistance/guidance when needed. She works well with people from a variety of backgrounds. She has a down-to-earth style, easy to get along with.”
