Congratulations to Joe Kimitch
Joe is a Building Automation Specialist in the Facilities Management Department-Division of Engineering, on the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). Working as a team, Facilities Management implements changes to buildings to improve the comfort and efficiency of buildings on campus. Joe has been with the University for over three years.
Mike Boroviak, Director of Facilities Management made some admirable comments about Joe. Mike said, “He has worked tirelessly and in difficult circumstances to assist with major Program issues. Joe is self driven and an excellent team player always willing to assist. Joe has been on the forefront in environmental design and conservation both in his work and interest activities. Joe is continuing his educational development, has an engineering degree; working towards his Engineer in Training certification as prerequisite to a Professional Engineer certification.”
During a large project to re-commission a building automation system, Operations Supervisor, Dave Tilton commented, “During this project we received the highest level of service from Mr. Kimitch and with the professional approach to his work, Mr. Kimitch has been a true ambassador to the maintenance teams.”
Joe also volunteers through a Community Supported Agriculture program for Grant Farms by hosting as a pick-up site for the farm. Approximately 40 people stop by his house every week to pick up their organic fruit and veggies. Joe also enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking and snowboarding.
