EXEMPT PROFESSIONAL ASSEMBLY

The Exempt Professional Assembly has successfully unified over 1,100 exempt professional staff from the Downtown Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus into a single organization and have ratified bylaws to govern the collective group. One of the EPA's most important goals for the new year is to increase member participation. To that end, meeting dates/times have been standardized and Officers are making a renewed effort to keep members updated and involved. Member participation will enable the EPA to serve well in its role as the voice of exempt professionals at University of Colorado Denver.

We are looking forward to another productive and exciting year for 2012-13. With that in mind, it's time to consider getting our EPA Board in place for this year:

Detailed position descriptions can be found in the EPA by-laws. Board members are expected to be present at the 4 General Assembly Meetings a year, 1 board meeting a month (~ 1 ½ hours long) held in the off months when there is no general assembly meeting, alternating campus locations, and one EPA Retreat (~ 3-4 hours long) held in July. EPA members may self-nominate or nominate others. If nominating someone else, please obtain prior consent of willingness to serve from the nominee. Submit Nominations through the EPA’s Questions/Ideas form. Include: Your name, title, campus location. Nominations will be accepted through April 30, 2012. Nominees will be asked for a 1 paragraph explanation on why he/she would be a good fit for the role. Voting will take place in May; an email announcement will be sent out with details on that process.
