UC Denver Human Resources Assistant Vice Chancellor Kevin Jacobs reminds us that employees who have the flu or have sick family members or others in their households needing care, the employee must stay home and use sick leave or (if they do not have accrued sick leave) annual or unpaid leave, in that order. If employees exhibit symptoms, they must be sent home, placed on sick, annual or unpaid leave, in that order. Infected employees will be required to provide a medical statement allowing them to return.
