--Household contacts of children under 6 months; or
--Health care workers with direct patient care responsibilities and are not eligible to receive the vaccine as hospital-based providers; or
--Emergency medical service providers; or
--Non-elderly adults with underlying risk conditions.

Based on CDC recommendations, this will be offered, at no cost, ONLY to pregnant women who are a UC Denver student, faculty, resident or staff member.* As more vaccine is received, additional offerings will be available for other high-risk groups.

Auraria Campus, Downtown Denver offers free H1N1 (Swine) flu shots for HIGH RISK individuals ONLY**
CLINIC DATE: Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009
TIME: 9:30 a.m. until the available supply vaccine is gone. Future clinics will be announced if/when vaccine is made available by the CDC/Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
LOCATION: Auraria Campus, Downtown Denver, North Classroom Atrium, South East Entrance
**Who is eligible to receive the vaccine at this Auraria High Risk clinic: All students, staff and faculty of any of the Tri-Institutions or AHEC who are considered “High Risk” can receive the vaccine on a first-come, first-serve basis. High risk includes:
1. Pregnant Women
2. Anyone who lives with or cares for infants <6 months of age
3. Health care and emergency medical workers
4. Anyone from 18 through 24 years of age. (Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.)
5. Anyone from 25 through 64 years of age with chronic medical conditions or weakened immune systems. This includes: cancer, blood disorders(sickle cell disease), lung disease(asthma or COPD), diabetes, heart disease, kidney disorder, liver disorder, neurological disorder, neuromuscular disorder, weakened immune disorder such as AIDS or those receiving chemotherapy.
Future Availability of H1N1 Vaccine: When additional H1N1 vaccine is made available to the Health Center at Auraria, healthy adults 25 years of age and older will be eligible to receive this vaccine, as will those who are considered high risk, but who did not receive vaccine during the initial high risk clinic.
