The Executive Council of the Postdoctoral Association serves the postdoctoral community and conducts and organizes PDA business and events.

Hannah Hathaway, PhD

Dr. Hathaway earned her Ph.D in Pharmacology from Georgetown University in 2014. She is now working as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Wendy Macklin's lab, where she studies mTOR signaling in oligodendrocytes.

Erin Golden, PhD

Dr. Golden earned her Ph.D in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2015. She is now a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Linda Barlow studying development of the peripheral taste system.

Lina Cheuy, PhD

Dr. Cheuy earned her Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2016. She is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Yubin Miao's lab developing peptide-based cancer imaging agents for PET and SPECT imaging.

Sarah Farabi, PhD (Chair)

Dr. Farabi received her Ph.D from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2016 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow working under Dr. Teri Hernandez in the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes.

Dominique Reed, PhD (Co-Chair)

Dr. Reed earned her Ph.D in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Louisville in May 2016. She is now working as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Rajesh Agarwal in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences investigating the molecular mechanisms involved in the efficacy of chemopreventative agent, Bitter Melon, in pancreatic cancer.

Wynton McClary, PhD (Co-Chair)

Dr. McClary earned his Ph.D in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2016. He is now working as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Carlos Catalano, where he is working to develop novel virus-like particles for theragnostic applications.

Rwik Sen, Ph.D (Co-Chair)

Dr. Sen earned his Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from S. Illinois Univeristy in 2015 with a focus on epigenetics, transcription and DNA repair in S. cerevisiae. His postdoctoral research now focuses on epigenetic regulation of neural crest cells in craniofacial development and related birth defects in CRISPR/Cas9 mutants of zebrafish. His other activities include mentoring, STEM outreach, career development workshops, writing, and event organization. His hobbies include travel, reading, and dancing.

Carol Kiekhaefer, MD, PhD (Chair)

Dr. Kiekhaefer earned her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Madison and her MD from Northwestern University. She is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Sarah Faubel.
