Non-Degree Admissions

See if non-degree admission is right for you

Do you want to explore the University of Colorado Denver before applying for formal admission to a program? Would you like to complete a course for professional development or transfer to another institution? If so, non-degree admission may be right for you.

Admission Requirements

Even the students who are trying out classes at CU Denver do so with a purpose. Learn more about what it takes to join their ranks as a non-degree seeking student.

  • You must be age 20 or older. If under 20, you can only apply for Summer semester.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for all coursework taken, and be eligible to return to any college or university previously attended.
  • You must either be a new applicant, or have completed a CU Denver degree. If you have a degree-seeking application pending, or if you were refused admission to a degree-seeking program you are not eligible for non-degree admission.

Some courses and programs have additional admission requirements. We recommend you contact your program of interest for more information.
