Service Dog Training Instructor, volunteer
Ann graduated from Bergin University of Canine Studies with a degree in Assistance Dog Education. She is an Assistance Dog Instructor with Warrior Canine Connection (WCC), a pioneering organization that utilizes its Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) model to help wounded Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other. She has spent the past three years developing the Operation K9 (OpK9) Program for the Royal Society for the Blind Guide and Assistance Dog School in Adelaide, South Australia. Op K9 is a Service Dog program that trains and places dogs with Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Prior to this Ann worked with WCC at Walter Reed National Medical Military Center and Fort Belvoir, instructed at–risk teens in detention centers how to train Assistance Dogs as way for them to give back to their community and taught Adaptive Aquatics to children with specials need.
