About Us

The Emergency Management Division of the University of Colorado Denver provides guidance and support in the realm of emergency preparedness for the downtown Denver campus, as well as the Anschutz Medical Campus. Through collaboration and coordination with all students, faculty, staff, visitors, and external partners, the division is continually striving to create a culture of preparedness for the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus.​​


Be Aware


Know what threats and hazards are common in your area. Sign up for campus and emergency alerts and notifications, so you know when to take action. 

Make a Plan​


Know what to do during emergencies and disasters, and have emergency contact information available. Practice your plans often at work, school, and at home.

Build a Kit

You can buy a kit, or build and customize your own. Either way, have a kit at home, work, school, and in your car. You can even carry a simple kit in your backpack.
