School of Medicine professor Eric Coleman, MD, was named a 2012 MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Fellow for helping patients transition from hospital to home. The World Health Organization named the Colorado School of Public Health Center for Global Health a collaborating center for promoting family and child health. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner MS program ranks 5th in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools." In 2012, 98 percent of Skaggs School of Pharmacy graduates passed the national licensing exam within six months of graduation. CU Anschutz, in partnership with Colorado State and Northern Colorado, is home to the only accredited school of public health in the Rocky Mountain region. The University of Colorado Cancer Center is Colorado’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. School of Dental Medicine clinics serve 65,000 patients each year, providing dentures, implants, braces and general dentistry. CCTSI is the largest NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Awards initiative in the Rocky Mountain region. The School of Medicine ranks in the top 10 in the U.S. among public medical schools in total federal research grants and contracts.

Several graduate programs at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus were ranked in the top 10 nationally and others were well regarded in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.

As in the past, the School of Medicine and College of Nursing fared well in the rankings as did several other CU Denver | Anschutz schools and programs.
