Undergraduate pre-health studies​



Pre-health is a popular and competitive field of study at CU Denver characterized by academic rigor and personalized support to help students achieve their educational objectives.

Thanks to the connection between CU Denver and the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, health career students have opportunities to immerse themselves in the subject matter, do research with real-worl​d applications and engage in early clinical experiences. 

Students can pursue a variety of undergraduate programs while completing specific health program prerequisite coursework. 

Admission to CU Denver does not assure future admission to CU Anschutz programs.



BA/BS-MD program​



A small group of students interested in making medicine their career are admitted to the BA/BS-MD program at CU Denver. This program provides an opportunity for outstanding students from broadly diverse backgrounds who want to serve the health care needs of Colorado as primary care physicians.

Once accepted to the program, students can earn a seat at the University of Colorado School of Medicine provided they meet specific academic, non-academic and professional requirements annually.

The School of Medicine is located at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus​ in Aurora.​

If you're interested in applying to a nursing program, undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates are offered by the College of Nursing at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus​ in Aurora.
