“I’ve been reading Billboard magazine since junior high—keeping up with music is a passion,” says Assistant Professor Storm Gloor, who teaches music marketing and CAM Records. “I thrive on teaching a field that changes daily.” He is also involved with the local and national music community, building relationships with professionals throughout the field.
His top priority, however, is to be an effective professor.
“I am very interested in how to better teach this generation of students. I’m always looking for new and more effective ways to deliver course materials.” Technology is one way he connects with students—cell phones, iClickers and relevant apps are some of the tools he’s integrated into his curriculum.
“What keeps me going is seeing students benefit from these courses, graduate and then achieve success. That is the biggest reward I can receive.”
