Because we have some of the toughest admissions standards of any nursing schools in this region. Now that you're here, our goal is to help you succeed.
Clinical assignments and nursing mentors
The University of Colorado College of Nursing is proud to offer students outstanding clinical experiences with an extensive range of clinical partner agencies and settings as well as in our state-of-the-art Clinical Education Center, including high fidelity simulation. We work diligently with our clinical partners to provide quality clinical experiences and simulation scenarios to prepare you for your transition to professional nursing practice.
You will complete multiple clinical experiences across the continuum of care and populations, including:
- Nursing Care of Childbearing Families
- Nursing Care of Children and Families
- Mental Health Nursing Across the Lifespan
- Nursing Care of the Older Adult
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Nursing Care of the Adult Patient with Complex Care Needs
- Public Health Nursing
- Transformational Nursing Across the Continuum of Care
All classes offered within the College of Nursing will be held on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Clinical placements will be in a variety of locations.

The location of CU Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus provides a unique blend of metropolitan buzz, set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
