May I apply if I don't meet the requirements above? No. Only those students with the above requirements will be considered for the Denver Bound Scholarship.

How do I know that I am qualified for this scholarship? The Admissions Office verifies your academic credentials once you have been admitted to CU Denver. You will then receive an e-mail letting you know you qualify.

How will I know if I qualify for the Denver Bound Scholarship if I am a Music Major and have not yet been notified by the deparment as to whether I have been admitted? When a student applies for admission and indicates they want Music as their major, they are really applying for admission to two areas: 1) The University of Colorado Denver and 2) Department of Music within the University of Colorado Denver. When a student applies for admission and indicates Music as their major, their file is reviewed by the admissions committee in the admissions office who determines whether the student is qualified for admission to the university.  Once this step is complete (and the student does, in fact, qualify) the name is submitted to Music as a Music Major.  Music then works with the student to complete the audition process.  Until the audition is complete, the student who has applied for Music is coded in the admissions office as having met all admissions requirements to the university but admission is withheld until the successful completion of the audition.

Students who apply to Music and have been coded as "having met all admissions requirements except the audition" on their account are allowed to apply for the Denver Bound Scholarship.  This is allowed because the student who meets admissions qualifications may change his/her major if he/she is not admitted directly to Music.

I have a weighed and unweighted gpa. Which gpa is used for Denver Bound Scholarship Qualification?  The highest gpa reported on the transcript is used to qualify students for the Denver Bound Scholarship.

How do I apply for the Denver Bound Scholarship?
