The Ins and Outs of CU Denver

Information for parents, teachers and high school counselors

Info for Teachers

College preparation is so much more than academic preparation - it's also developing study skills, growing up and embodying a passion for lifelong learning. We understand the critical role you play in your students' development, and we applaud you.

Below, you will find resources you can use to engage your students in your classroom, as well as resources to help you guide your students toward a successful transition to college life:

For Group Campus Visits

CU Denver offers group visits for secondary schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, etc. Group visits typically last for two hours and entail a short presentation from an admissions counselor, a student panel and a campus tour. Special accommodations such as a mini-lecture from a professor may be possible if you make your request at least one month in advance.

Lunch will not be provided by the university, but you will have an opportunity to experience our Tivoli student union, with a variety of restaurants and food choices. Most meals range between $7-8. Also, groups are welcome to bring sack lunches.

Group Visit Requests
To schedule a group visit, please complete the Group Visit Request Form (pdf). If you have questions, please contact Mary Francavilla at Mary.Francavilla@ucdenver.edu

Note: Please provide us with at least four weeks' notice for group visits. Otherwise, we may not be able to accommodate your request.
