ORDE 

Office of Research Development and Education

The Office of Research Development and Education promotes a dynamic and productive research community. ORDE furthers the growth and development of the university’s stature and recognition in research.

Grants & Contracts 

Office of Grants & Contracts

The Office of Grants & Contracts (OGC) provides administrative support to principal investigators and administrators in the acquisition and administration of extramural funds. OGC works to ensure that use of extramural funding is compliant and within the course and scope of university policies.

Environmental Health & Safety 

Department of Environmental Health & Safety

The University of Colorado Denver Department of Environmental Health & Safety provides comprehensive environmental, health and safety services in support of supports the university’s core mission of teaching, research and service.

COMIRB 

Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board

The Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB) is a consortium of health care facilities in Colorado, which reviews biomedical and behavioral research that involves human subjects.

OLAR 

Office of Laboratory Animal Resources

The Office of Laboratory Animal Resources (OLAR) is responsible for veterinary oversight of animal care; for faculty and staff training in appropriate animal care, regulatory requirements; and for support of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The OLAR is the organizational point of contact for extramural animal-related interactions with public and governing agencies (AAALAC, USDA).

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is responsible for the oversight of regulatory compliance in research that involves animals.
