If you have an employee ID number, use this number when registering for your education and skip to the CITI BASIS COURSE. If you do not have an employee ID number then you must obtain a Person of Interest Number (POI). A POI number is required to submit a protocol for review or to be listed on a research project if:
1. You are a student at the UCD Downtown Campus;
2. You are employed by an affiliate institution but do not have a UCD employee ID number;
3. You are not affiliated with COMIRB’s affiliates but COMIRB has accepted responsibility for your role in a research project.
Because the CU database system maintains essential training records using the POI number, use the assigned POI number as your ID when accessing the CITI website to complete your CITI Basic course in human subject protections. The COMIRB Database is accessed through the InfoEd eRA Portal. If you are an Employee of the University of Colorado Denver, you have an ability to log in to this portal using your UCD/AMS employee login information.
If you are a Researcher or Staff Member at a UCD Affiliate Site, user access to the COMIRB Database requires a three-step process:
1. Request a Person of Interest (POI) Number. Once your request is processed, a personal profile will be created for you to have access to the COMIRB Database System, InfoEd
2. Request a UCD IT Account with your POI number. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Go to the UCD IT Passport page.
2. Choose BECOME A SPONSORED USER.
3. Proceed to complete the USER SELF-REGISTRATION form. The UCD Organization/Department for which you wish to become a user should be: ADMIN-REG.-COMPLIANCE-COMIRB
4. Choose SUBMIT REQUEST when you complete the registration. Your login username will be emailed to you, and you will use the password you created on the application.
5. Go to MyAccount and claim your IT account. Wait 30 minutes for the account to become active.
If you are a Student of the University of Colorado Denver assigned to a COMIRB Protocol, you will need to complete steps 1 and 3 above to have this access assigned to your student login information. Step 2 is not required, as you can use your student account.
With your username and password, you may log into the COMIRB Database through the InfoEd eRA Portal at any time.
If you do not remember your password, go to https://myaccount.ucdenver.edu and click on “Forgot My Password”.
If you encounter difficulties obtaining a login for the COMIRB Database System, or you if have questions, contact COMIRB InfoEd Administrator Jordan Dietrich, at 303-724-0150.
