NEW INVESTIGATOR PROGRAM:
ORDE staff members are available to assist new faculty in your efforts to obtain external funding for research and training projects. In addition to individual strategy sessions, we offer a series of faculty seminars and on-line resources.
ORDE Faculty Seminars:
ORDE offers research-related seminars designed to increase your chances to obtain funding for research projects by providing you with helpful information and tools. Seminar topics include strategic proposal development, peer review and building collaborations. Our Seminars & Events page is constantly changing so check it often. Also, let us know about future educational events you would you would like to see us develop. Please contact Lynette Michael (lynette.michael@ucdenver.edu) with your suggestions.
ORDE Faculty Resources:
Available resources include a proposal checklist you can customize for each grant porposal you are working on, a proposal budget checklist to help you think about potential costs associated with your proposed project, a sample budget justification, an NIH Website Guide and the Agency Abstract Locator. Please check our Resources web page often for new and updated resources.
ORDE Strategy Sessions:
We meet with faculty to assist you in identifying fundable interest areas, sponsors most likely to support your projects, successful approaches to Federal and non-Federal sponsors, how and when to contact program officers, elements of proposal development and funding sustainability. One outcome of these strategy sessions is a fund search, providing a broad overview and planning document of available funding associated with your upcoming projects.
