Floating Island International Case Study and Teaching Notes - Floating Island International produces a man-made ecosystem which mimics natural wetlands; their islands can be used to help clean water and create habitat.  In four years of operation the company has produced and deployed over 3000 islands with six licenses nationally and two internationally.  The site is a 300 acre farm bordering the Yellowstone River at the end of a 60 mile irrigation ditch in Shepherd, Montana. A case study and teaching notes were prepared by Mary McNally and Timothy Wilkinson, Montana State University Billings.
