The class of 2012 is the UHL program's first graduating cohort. On Friday, May 11th, they were honored for their landmark achievement. Of the twenty-two graduates, many are continuing their studies here at CU-Denver or at various graduate programs around the country. Several have accepted employment positions in and around the city of Denver, while others will be leaving the state.
Each graduate received an engraved UHL medal to symbolize their achievement, hard work, dedication, and motivation in both UHL and the university. Many are graduating with college and Latin honors, and each will receive a minor in either Multidisciplinary Research Methods or Leadership Studies, depending on their track of study in UHL.
The class of 2012 have a unique perspective and experience in the UHL program – as entering freshmen in 2008, they filled the chairs in the very first UHL courses ever taught. Both the students and the program were young, and each shaped and influenced the other. Their ideas, suggestions, questions, and changes have made UHL into what it is today.
We are proud to recognize the class of 2012 as the first graduating class of the UHL program!
