Halloween on the Ninth Street Park

UHLers hand out candy to neighborhood children

On October 27th, the UHL Student Club decorated the outside of the UHL House in preparation for the Haunted Harvest Halloween Celebration - an annual tradition during which the buildings along the Ninth Street Park are decorated and then serve as houses for trick-or-treating for the children from the Early Learning Center and local neighborhood.   It was a snowy, cold morning but that didn't stop the enthusiastic group as they hung spiders from the rafters and placed gravemarkers in the garden.

By afternoon the sun was peeping through the clouds and much of the snow had melted as Mitch Oltmann (alias the Green Fox), Jeremy Gee and Liz Petersen greeted over 150 children who made their way into the UHL front yard.
