Young American Series
The White House Young American Series came to Denver on Thursday, April 26th. The event was hosted on the CU-Denver campus. UHLers Greg Fliney (Biology and Psychology, '14) and Mirissa Price (Biology, '14) were members of the event planning committee. Their fellow students, AnnsLee Merlo (Public Health, '12) and Arthur Boo (Mechanical Engineering and Biology, '14) also attended. Arthur presented a short piece on his work to develop a "value creation studio" on campus.
Read Mirissa's summary of the event here:
"The day began with a presentation from three students (including Arthur) in various stages of their education, as well as a presentation from a White House staff member. Subsequently, students had an opportunity to participate in an Open Discussion process to share and brainstorm ideas for progress in America and to create networks of students throughout Denver with similar initiatives. The event concluded with a reception and light meal.
UHL students have wonderful ideas and a clear passion to see these ideas through. We are proud to have them attend this event!"
