What is CU Succeed Gold?

CU Succeed Gold offers juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start on college by earning college credit while still in high school. As a CU Succeed Gold student, you'll be engaged in courses of the same academic quality and rigor as those taught at the University of Colorado Denver.

Courses are taught during regular school periods by specially qualified teachers from your high school. These instructors hold honorarium faculty appointments at UC Denver. The CU Succeed Gold program has been working successfully with students and teachers in high schools throughout Colorado since 1996.

All courses are taken for a letter grade and appear on a UC Denver transcript. Plus, CU Succeed courses are offered at a reduced tuition rate so you can begin earning college credit before paying full college tuition. The tuition rate for CU Succeed Gold courses is $75 per credit hour.

What Is CU-Succeed Silver?

CU-Succeed Silver works similarly to CU Succeed Gold. CU Succeed Silver also offers juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start on college by earning college credit while still in high school. As a CU Succeed Silver Student, you'll be engaged in courses of the same academic quality and rigor as those taught at the University of Colorado Denver.

Courses may be taught during school periods and after school hours. These courses are taught by UC Denver full-time or part time faculty and may also involve a cooperating faculty member of the host high school. The tuition rate for these courses is also substantially less than the full college tuition charged both at UC Denver and numerous other campuses.

What if I'm not planning to attend UCD?

Courses are eligible for transfer to University of Colorado campuses, as well as to many other universities and colleges. In general, institutions that accept CU credits will accept the credits earned from CU Succeed Gold courses. Before registering for a course you should confirm with your intended college that the course will be accepted and will apply toward requirements of your anticipated program of study.
