Technology Support for Pharmacy Students

The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers to all School of Pharmacy students support in using your digital devices. Our services include operating system troubleshooting, virus and spyware diagnosis and cleaning, setting up and troubleshooting network connections and email, and advice on best practices in maintaining and using your computer. Please note that we can only provide support for systems that meet the minimum requirements as listed on the Computer Requirements for Students page plus the most common types of tablets and cell phones. We also provide basic assistance in using the most common application software, including Microsoft Office and current web browsers. Please note, however, that we cannot provide extensive, in-depth support for computer applications, though we will attempt to be of assistance whenever possible.

In addition, the SSPPS IT Office offers limited computer hardware diagnosis for students of the School of Pharmacy. ITS cannot purchase or install parts for you, but can help you determine if hardware repair is needed or if expansion of your system is possible and practical. We cannot provide warranty support for any electronic equipment. If it is determined that your hardware requires hardware repair or you require assistance in the installation of any parts, you will need to contact the vendor or manufacturer of your device or a third-party service center.

We also provide information on obtaining some of the many system security utilities available including antispyware utilities. These utilities are in some cases free for personal use and do not require the purchase of any licensing keys, though more capable utilities do require purchase. Links to some of these software applications can be found on the Downloads section of the Quick Help.
