TEN TIPS FOR A QUICK START AT THE LIBRARY:
1. Bookmark the Library Website
2. Access the Library from Home or Work
You will be prompted to enter your university ID number and your last name when you use our databases and other online resources remotely. Test your access at this web page: https://impulse.ucdenver.edu/patroninfo.
3. Find Journals
Search journals using the text box on the library home page, the journal titles radio button or go directly to http://hslibrary.ucdenver.edu/journals, a gateway to online full text journals, organized alphabetically to the journals available to affiliated library users.
4. Search IMPULSE, the Library Catalog for Books and A/V Materials
Use the IMPULSE catalog to discover which books, videos, and other print resources are available at the Health Sciences Library. Request items from other local libraries and renew checked out items, http://library.ucdenver.edu.
5. Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services
Photocopies and/or loans of items not available at the library may be requested from the interlibrary loan/photocopy service. This fee based service is offered at no direct cost to students, thanks to support from student fees and campus administration. 6. Discover the Computer Commons
The first floor Computer Commons provides computers with MS Office, Internet access, instructional software and four scanning workstations. Endnote bibliographic software is available on all workstations. Read more on the web: http://hslibrary.ucdenver.edu/computing. Bookstore printing accounts may be used in the library. Two-sided printing is available.
7. Ask for Help
