We feel academic success is at the core of what we do. That's why we offer a variety of support programs to help you stay on track. Here's a look at some of those programs.
Our school offers free, one-on-one tutoring or group tutoring to students who qualify (those receiving a C- or less in a course). This service is provided by pharmacy student peers.
In addition to individual tutoring, the school also provides Facilitated Group Learning (FGL) sessions for classes. Free and optional for all students, FGL is a regularly scheduled academic assistance program providing opportunities for students to review notes, discuss readings for class and develop organizational strategies for success in the curriculum. The FGL leaders – comprised of current students who have performed well in the courses they lead -- facilitate active self-learning by encouraging students to identify key points of the lectures, think proactively about upcoming topics and find mechanisms for students to answer their own questions. In FGL sessions, the leaders do not lecture or re-teach course material.
FGL leaders conduct the sessions, attend classes and view the Panopto recordings. For optimal results, it is best to attend all or as many sessions as possible and not just those before exams and quizzes.

In addition to the services provided by our School, the CU Anschutz campus also offers 24/7 access to the Writing Center which offers support in academic, personal and professional writing on-site and online.
