The University of Colorado School of Pharmacy offers live and online ACPE-accredited continuing education programs and strives to provide excellent, accessible and contemporary educational opportunities to support the continuing professional development of pharmacists. Our target audience consists of pharmacists who want to deepen their current level of professional knowledge, or seek a deeper acquisition of skill, or hope to expand their personal and professional horizons. We serve University of Colorado alumni and preceptors, pharmacists in Colorado, and those who come to our online campus from anywhere.
Our overall goal is to improve pharmacist competencies to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes and patient safety, manage practice settings and satisfy the educational requirements for re-licensure.
Our mission is to provide educational activities that promote problem-solving and critical thinking to support the continuing professional development of pharmacists.

Consistent with our philosophy is our support for the concept and practice of continuing professional development (CPD), an idea that is gaining acceptance within the pharmacy community. Read more about continuing professional development.
The School of Pharmacy designs its own educational programs, but also works with partners such as the University of Colorado Office of Continuing Medical Education and the Colorado Pharmacists Society to jointly develop and accredit programs. The School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. If you are planning an educational program that you would like accredited, please see Partnering with Us.
The Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education is part of the Colorado Statewide Extended Campus. State funds are not used to develop or administer programs of the office.
