Professor and Assistant Director of Experiential Programs

Clinical Practice:

The University of Colorado Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes Practice provides diabetes care and management to both Type I and Type II patients with diabetes. There is a large number of Type I diabetes patients utilizing pumps at this practice, as well as challenging patients referred to the clinic from primary care settings.

Dr. Nuffer is interested in experiential teaching and learning, as well as diabetes care. His primary focus has been to establish and manage a network of pharmacy student-supported diabetes clinics in community pharmacies across the State of Colorado. He is part of a large interdisciplinary effort on campus to integrate students across multiple professions into work environments, focusing specifically in rural areas.
