PhD Programs

Within the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, there are PhD programs in pharmaceutical sciences—specializing in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical translational science, or pharmaceutical outcomes research—and in molecular toxicology. Areas of interest include pharmaceutical biotechnology and biophysics, cancer pharmacology and molecular toxicology. The pharmaceutical sciences and toxicology programs are housed within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a research-intensive department with a focus in both basic and translational pharmaceutical sciences.

An additional track in pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research, is housed in the Center for Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research (CePOR), which is within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, a department with a focus on clinical education and patient-oriented research and pharmacy practice.
