At the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, pursuing excellence is an everyday exercise.
Through experiential training and critical skills development, we produce quality practitioners as showcased by our graduates’ stellar results in the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). For six years in a row, our graduates have surpassed the national pass rate on both exams. Ranked in the top 20 percent of schools of pharmacy in the country by U.S. News & World Report, our graduates are well prepared to practice pharmacy.
Whether they become community pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, teachers, researchers or entrepreneurs, our mission is to make sure our graduates are scientifically knowledgeable, compassionate, ethical and committed to a lifetime of continued learning.
Originally established in 1911 as a department of the School of Medicine on the Boulder campus, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences opened its doors with two students and one faculty member.
From nationwide school rankings to licensing pass rates and outstanding on-time graduation rates — our School proves it’s exceptional.
The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
