The OREA post award grants and contract specialist provides fiscal and procurement oversight of all sponsored projects within the college. Primary activities include assisting the principal investigator (PI) in the overall financial management of their sponsored project, facilitating the establishment of subcontracts and subsequent subcontract payments, providing budget modifications and carry-forward projections, ensuring that expenditures comply with university and the sponsor’s fiscal policies and guidelines and tracking and coordinating of progress reports and close-out documentation. Postaward also provides up-to-date and regularly reconciled accounting of expenditures for PIs.
The postaward process begins with the Notice of Grant Award (NoA) of a sponsored project and continues throughout the life of the grant. OREA experienced staff assists with all activities postaward.
