The College of Nursing offers a post-master’s certificate in most of the master of science (MS) in nursing specialty options. Students may elect to complete a MS degree with a specialty in one area and then pursue a post-master’s certificate in another.
Nursing students may seek a post-master’s certificate for many reasons. Some might include the ability to specialize in multiple areas within the nursing profession without having to redo an entire master’s degree, or to as a step to taking on a new area of specialty when seeking a higher degree.
Enrollment for the post-master’s certificate is on a space available basis.
All post-master’s students must choose a specialty option to pursue. Review the available specialties and the courses required for each option.
