Tracy Scott, DNP, FNP-BC

Dr. Scott joined the department after working in rural health for the Indian Health Service in 2010. Prior to this she practiced in South Carolina in emergency services and in the local free clinic. She also served as a full time faculty member in an undergraduate nursing program in Greenville, SC. She has traveled extensively and served on active duty with the US Army for seven years. During this time she traveled to South Korea, Italy, and Germany.

Her research interests are in informatics and vulnerable populations. Her technical interests stem from experience in informatics and working as a software developer. She is interested in using technology to increase primary care service to vulnerable populations.

  • Dr. Scott is a Family Nurse Practitioner currently practices at the Johnson & Wales Student Health Center where she provides primary care as well as urgent care services to the student population. She has practiced in rural health for the Indian Health Service, in emergency services, and urgent care settings.
